The University of Delhi (DU) will hold the second edition of its placement drive, AVASAR 2026, on October 7, with more than 4,000 students already registered and over 85 organisations expected to participate, according to the university.

The placement drive will be organised by the Central Placement Cell (CPC) under the Office of the Dean of StudentsтАЩ Welfare (DSW). The event will be held from 9 am to 5 pm at the Multipurpose Hall, Gate No. 2, G C Narang Marg, North Campus.

DU AVASAR 2026: Over 4,000 students register for placement drive

The university said all students registered with Delhi University will be eligible to participate in the placement drive. The initiative is aimed at bringing students and prospective employers together and expanding access to employment and internship opportunities.

AVASAR is the rebranded version of DU’s earlier placement initiative, which was conducted as a тАШjob melaтАЩ. The university has positioned the event as a platform where students can directly interact with organisations across different sectors and professional domains.

With more than 4,000 registrations already recorded, the second edition is expected to see participation from a large number of DU students seeking jobs, internships and opportunities to explore different career paths.

SPRIX Japan, Teach for India, Kotak Life among expected recruiters

According to DU’s Central Placement Cell, several organisations are expected to participate in AVASAR 2026. The list includes SPRIX Japan, Teach for India, Kotak Life, PPG Foundation, Influngio, Surasa, Dear Sir E-Learning, Cambridge School, Bharti Bhawan, Unthinkable Solutions, Muthoot Finance, Verdicto, Connect Jobs, LSSSDC, Intellexia Tech and Hazelnut Cyborg Infra Solutions, among others.

The participating organisations are expected to represent multiple sectors, giving students an opportunity to explore roles beyond conventional campus recruitment channels.

Highest salary package exceeds Rs 10 lakh

DU said the highest annual salary package being offered through the placement drive exceeds Rs 10 lakh. The university has also stated that the highest internship stipend on offer is up to Rs 60,000 per month.

The actual salary and stipend offered to individual students will depend on the participating organisation, role, eligibility criteria and selection process.

Placement drive to connect students with employers

The university said AVASAR 2026 is also intended to strengthen its engagement with employers. Apart from facilitating recruitment, the drive will allow students to understand the requirements of different industries and identify career opportunities aligned with their academic backgrounds and skills.

The initiative comes as universities increasingly seek to expand structured links between students and employers, particularly through placement and internship opportunities.

Students participating in the DU placement drive will therefore have the opportunity to engage directly with recruiters and learn about available employment and internship roles during the October 7 event.
