Tamil actor and filmmaker Raghava Lawrence, a devoted fan of Superstar Rajinikanth, has announced that he will celebrate the veteran actor’s birthday for an entire month this year. The celebrations will begin on November 12 and go on until December 12, the day Rajinikanth turns 76.
Raghava Lawrence announces month-long celebrations
Raghava Lawrence shared the news on his social media accounts on Thursday. He wrote, “One month Thalaivar birthday celebrations from November 12 – December 12. One month. One celebration. One Thalaivar!”The actor said the celebrations will mark both the Superstar’s 76th birthday and the success of his recent film. He said, “As a lifelong Thalaivar fan, I couldn’t be prouder or happier to witness him deliver an industry hit at the age of 75! I wish to celebrate his 76th birthday and this legendary success together on December 12th, with a month-long celebration from November 12th to December 12th.”
Wish to invite Rajinikanth
Raghava Lawrence said he would love to invite Rajinikanth to the celebrations, but he knows the Superstar may not be comfortable with a grand event in his honour.He said, “My wish is to invite Thalaivar himself and celebrate this special occasion in front of him. But knowing his humble and simple nature, I understand that he isn’t someone who seeks grand celebrations for himself. That’s exactly why we, his fans, are celebrating him in our own way out of immense love and respect for the legendary, one and only Superstar!”Speaking about his admiration, Raghava Lawrence said he has been a fan of Rajinikanth since childhood and credited him for his journey in the film industry. He said, “He gave me life and everything I’m today in this industry is because of him. There will never be another star like Thalaivar. His legacy is one of a kind. His journey and birthday needs to be celebrated in the best way possible. This is our way of celebrating the man who has given generations of fans a lifetime of memories and happiness.”

Calling Thursday “Guru day”, he wrote, “As today is Thursday, Guru day, I wanted to share with you all that I’ll soon announce how we’re going to make this celebration special. This year is going to be truly memorable for all Thalaivar fans. One month. One celebration. One Thalaivar! #guruveSaranam.”
Rajinikanth’s latest release
Rajinikanth’s latest film, ‘Jailer 2’, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, released on October 15 this year and is being described as Tamil cinema’s highest grosser. The action entertainer has earned over Rs 821 crore worldwide in 21 days, as per Sacnilk.The actor is now shooting for his upcoming action thriller ‘Dhamam’ and will later share screen space with another Tamil legend, Kamal Haasan, in a film.
